Long Time No Post

The end of summer always gets very busy, why is that?  The month of August is jam packed with activities.  This past weekend was the County's Cancer Society Relay for Life.  My granddaughter's team, Awesome Audrey did very well for our first year of fund raising.  The kids had a ball and the weather was agreeable for us adults.

I have had no time, nor mojo to scrap, I miss it!

This upcoming weekend is a family trip to Chicago!  We all love the Windy City, well all of us except hubby. (he is staying home).  I know it will be the best time, we always have fun together.

A business trip to North Carolina is planned the week of the 24th, then a big move for my parents the last weekend of the month.

I think I will be needing a vacation!

Wait & Worry

Let me say, my Granddaughter Audrey is doing wonderful.  She is enjoying her summer and growing like a weed.  But, worry sets in for family as we await Audrey's checkup scan on Monday.  The check ups are necessary and we are glad that they are keeping a close eye on her, but we relive the sadness of cancer all over again with each checkup.

Audrey gets a little nervous as the day approaches, as she understands what it all means.  We are praying for a good checkup and clean scan for Audrey. 

She is looking forward to walking her first ever survivor lap at our local Relay for Life in just a couple of weeks.  She has drawn some artwork that we are having printed on T-Shirts for our Tam Awesome Audrey walkers.  The T-shirts will be available for purchase also, each shirt will be personally signed by the artist :)

Audrey my brave little granddaughter, I know in my heart you will be just fine!  You are still my hero!
